Fixing My Eyes on Jesus

One of the devotions I read this morning was talking about a particularly difficult day in the author's life when everything seemed to be working against him.  Here is the lesson he said God taught him that day and a lesson I hope I can remember when life seems too hard:

Our circumstances were not perfect, but we made a choice that day not to look at them.  We had to look at Jesus and remember Hebrews 12:3: "For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls."

Look at Jesus!  It's always about Him!  He can speak to every possible situation we might be dealing with and only when our eyes are fixed on Him will we see everything else clearly.
