Another Reality Check
Every day for the past two weeks, I have been getting prayer requests for the Children's HopeChest team who is heading to Swaziland to minister to the kids at the Beveni Carepoint (where two of my sponsored kids are - yay!) Here is yesterday's request, a copy of one of the team member's blog post. It's based on her reaction to the statistics I shared with you earlier in the week. I think it provides an even greater picture of the reality of this poor country. I'd love for you to read it. Today's prayer request was a more encouraging request. So encouraging and filled with the right perspective on missions work that I wanted to share it. I hope these posts give you a burden for those who are perishing, both physically and, more importantly, spiritually. We have a God who saves, sometimes here on earth, and sometimes in heaven. May His kingdom come quickly!

Katherine - Thank you for spreading the word about Swaziland and it's children and our trip! As you can imagine, our team is very excited to board the plane & walk on African soil. But for all our excitement, there is a deep sense of humility, wanting God to use us to bless the Swazi kids with His love & we take that very seriously. I can't tell you how comforting it is to know you are praying & spreading the word through your blog! Your sister in Christ, Danielle
ReplyDeletePs. Just yesterday I packed up your card & shirts for your Swazi boys, in my carry-on. I can't wait to give it to them! :) I hope to get a picture of them in the shirts...
