Someone in the U.S. Loves You

I posted earlier about the Children's HopeChest trip to Swaziland and the fact that the team leader, Danielle, was going to try to deliver a gift to my sponsored kids there.  Not only did the team deliver the gift I sent, but they actually visited the homes of both my sponsored children.  Below is Siphetfo with his family, wearing the shirt I sent:

I had also sent a picture of me doing the "I love you" sign in the hope that they would be able to have a reminder of how much I love them and care about them.  Danielle met with Thapelo and his family and told me, "He was one of the most grateful & happy children we visited."  She was so kind to take pictures for me.  Here is Thapelo (on the right) and his family doing the "I love you" sign back to me and holding my picture.  I can only say I was moved to tears to see his smiling face and to know he was telling me he loves me, too.

Child sponsorship makes a difference.  It gives the opportunity for a different future, a chance to go to school and use their education to work and make a better life.  It provides food, sometimes the only meal a child gets the whole day.  More than either of these, though, child sponsorship gives hope.  Hope, because they know someone loves them and cares about their needs.  Hope, because they are introduced to an even greater Sponsor, who not only gives them life here on earth, but who has loved them so much that He sent His own Son to die so that they might live an abundant life for all eternity.  I am blessed to be a small piece of these children's lives and to God be the glory for bringing us together.

If you want to sponsor a child, I have worked with the following organizations:
Children's HopeChest
Africa Renewal Ministries
